Q. How long is the Caravan Village open?
The Caravan Village is open from the 1st March all the way through to the 30th November each year. A holiday caravan cannot be used as a Permanent Residence.
Q. How long can I keep my caravan at the Caravan Village for?
Provided that your caravan is kept up to standard, you pay your annual site fees and follow the Caravan Village rules, once the agreement period has expired, you may either arrange for your caravan to be removed from the Caravan Village or you may enter into a fresh agreement to site the caravan on the Caravan Village for a further term.
Q. Where will my caravan be located?
You can choose your own pitch location, subject to pitch availability and the caravan you decide to purchase.
Q. What are the running costs?
Site fees for 2017 are £3,475.00 if you purchase your caravan from Butlins, or £4,015 if you purchase your caravan privately from another owner. The average annual running costs for 2017 if you purchase your caravan from Butlins (including the Site Fees) are approximately £4,900, or approximately £5,440 if you purchase your caravan privately. Running costs include Site Fees, Rates, Water Charges, Insurance, Gas and Electricity. These costs are reviewed annually and may be subject to change. Running costs may vary depending on the make, model, age and condition of a caravan. Extra costs may be applicable, e.g. Drain Down, Security Alarm.
Q. What is included in the caravan purchase price?
All of our new and used caravan prices are inclusive of VAT where appropriate and include (unless otherwise stated): Caravan Siting and Connections to your chosen pitch, annual Site Fees, Local Authority Rates and Water company charges, annual piped Gas charge, annual availability charge for Electricity, (all charged pro rata for the current season), Insurance until the following April, Manufacturers and/or 12 month Warranty, Fridge, TV connection, Steps and Handrails, Fire Extinguisher, Smoke Alarm, Carbon Monoxide Detector, Outside light (optional), Ramtech Alarm system (optional).
Q. Do I get to use the Butlins facilities?
Yes – you get full use of Butlins facilities when the Caravan Village is open. There may be some occasions where Butlins facilities are not available due to private or Solus events taking place, also certain breaks may have restrictions in place i.e. Over 18’s. Details of these breaks and restrictions can be found in the latest newsletter.
Q. How many passes do I get?
As a caravan owner you are entitled to 10 free seasonal photo passes. Additional seasonal photo passes may be purchased from the Caravan Village Reception.
Q. Can I bring my dog on to the Caravan Village?
Yes, although certain breeds are not allowed. Dogs must be kept under control at all times and on a lead. Dogs are not allowed on to the main Butlins resort at any time, with the exception of assistance dogs.
Q. Is there a way to help us cover the running costs of ownership?
Yes, we have an excellent subletting service that can help you cover your costs and still leave you with plenty of time to enjoy your caravan. Alternatively you may sublet your caravan yourself. Terms and conditions apply.
Q. What finance packages are available?
Low rate finance packages are available on request, including guaranteed finance – subject to deposit criteria. Written quotations are available on request.
