of Registration

These terms and conditions of registration are valid for Butlins Skegness Touring Caravan Site breaks.

Butlins Touring Caravans 2012

Prices include electric hook-ups, the provision of a soft area for awnings, entry to the resort and entertainment as programmed. Toilet and shower facilities are available on the Touring Caravan Site.

Please note we do not allow camping on the resort with the exception of trailer tents.

Prices are based on a maximum of 4 people per van – additional people are charged per person per night. Maximum length of stay is 28 days consecutively.

Butlins and their facilities are intended for families. We are therefore sorry that Butlins will not normally accept bookings on our family breaks from all adult parties:

  • Of four or more whose members are aged predominantly 16 to 21
  • Of eight or more whose members are aged predominantly under 30
  • Single persons who are not part of a family group

All bookings for any family break that include under 18's should include a responsible adult who is at least 25 years of age.

A limited number of dogs are permitted at a cost of £5 per dog per night. (N.B. Certain breeds are prohibited. Please check before booking).

Conditions

A contract is made upon acceptance of the booking by Butlins and is subject to the following conditions.

  • The person making the booking makes the booking on his/her behalf and on behalf of all the other Applicants, (persons named on the booking), as if they were contracting parties. The person signing must be 18 years of age or over. Failure to disclose all material facts as required may lead to termination of the contract.
  • The Applicants (the persons named on the booking) undertake not to do on their own part, or permit to be done by other persons or dogs under their control, anything which may, in the opinion of the management at the resort, be construed as being or becoming a nuisance or interfere with the quiet or general comfort of other guests at the resort.
  • Only Applicants shall be entitled to occupy the pitch allocated for their use. The moving of pitches must be approved by the Management at the resort. Any breach of this condition shall entitle the Company to terminate the booking and to exclude forthwith from the resort any unauthorised persons together with the Applicants themselves. Upon such termination the Applicants and unauthorised persons shall be deemed as trespassers.
  • Dogs will only be permitted on a restricted area of the site and under no circumstances onto the main resort (except Assistance Dogs). Certain breeds of dogs are prohibited. Please check before booking. Butlins reserves the right to refuse any animal considered dangerous.
  • Neither the Company or its Servants or Agents accept liability for any personal injury, loss or damage which may be sustained to Applicants or their property, during the period they are at the resort, except where it arises from the negligence of the Company, its Servants or Agents.
  • The appropriate deposit must be paid to confirm each booking, which will be forfeited if the booking is cancelled. All cancellations must be in writing.
  • Touring pitches are available from 12 midday on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.
  • All prices include VAT at the current rate.
  • The Company reserves the right to make changes, without prior notification, to any facility, including pitch allocation and advertised entertainment.
  • The date for payment of the balance will be on your confirmation of booking.
  • The Company reserve the right to remove vehicles and/or touring caravans which are parked outside the allocated pitch area which do not comply with site licenses and legal/safety spacing requirements.
  • One motor vehicle only to occupy each allocated pitch area. All other motor vehicles to be parked in other allocated parking areas to comply with legal/safety requirements.
  • The Company reserves the right that the Applicants should pay for any wilful or negligent damage or breakages resulting from action by themselves (or persons or dogs named on the booking) to the Tourer hook-up facility or any other fixture or fitting within the resort Site.
  • If the resort is not open for any reason for the period which the Company has accepted a booking, such bookings will be transferred to an alternative date at no extra cost. If this is unacceptable to the applicants any monies paid in advance will be refunded.
  • When you confirm your booking contract (reservation), you are also applying for membership of Butlins entertainment club, which is a legal requirement in order to use certain facilities. Personal details, including home address and age, must be correct. If you or your guests fail to provide this information, we reserve the right to terminate the contract without recompense.
  • If you have a comment. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your holiday whilst on resort, please speak to the Team Leader or Manager responsible for the area concerned. If they are unable to resolve the issue, then please speak to the Caravan Village Reception team. They will endeavour to help you immediately so that you can enjoy the rest of your stay. If you do not give us the opportunity to resolve the problem locally by reporting it whilst on resort, we may not be able to deal positively with any complaint on your return. Claims may be reduced or rejected if we have not been given the opportunity to put matters right or investigate your concerns. If, at the end of your holiday, you feel that we have not dealt with your complaint satisfactorily, the person who made the booking should write to the resort Director, or alternatively, to Butlins Guest Services, 1 Park Lane, Hemel Hempstead, HP2 4YL or via email to guest.services@butlins.com. Please submit any written complaints within 28 days of returning from your break so that we can properly investigate your complaint. Please write your holiday reference number on your letter and include your telephone numbers.

Health and safety For the safety and well being of our guests, not all facilities are available to everyone and height restrictions do apply on all our rides and activities.

Splash Waterworld In Splash Waterworld, all non–swimmers under 14 years old and children aged 8 years and under must be accompanied by an adult. Only competent swimmers may use certain flume rides. Please be aware that loose items, including goggles, cannot be worn on the flumes.

Funfair Restrictions and additional charges may apply on certain rides and other facilities. To meet certification requirements and maintain our ongoing improvement policy, all our funfair rides are regularly inspected and maintained by specialist engineers. They may be closed at certain times for work to be carried out, please check with the resort. Rides are subject to weather conditions.

Contagious Diseases Should Butlins become aware, or have reasonable grounds for suspicion, that a guest has contracted a contagious disease that has the potential to infect a large number of people quickly, they and their party will be required to leave the resort. If this is not possible, then restrictions will be placed upon their activities and movements in order to prevent the disease being transmitted to other guests. We are unable to offer any refund in such circumstances and strongly recommend that guests obtain suitable holiday insurance prior to travel to cover any such eventuality.

Proof of Age may be asked for when buying alcohol on resort. The only accepted forms of ID are photographic driver's licence or passport.

Venue capacities Butlins venues are subject to maximum capacities set by the local Fire Officer and as such, entrance to venues is not guaranteed. As our venues are popular seating cannot be guaranteed or reserved.

Bookings

By booking a break at Butlins, you agree to supply all names and addresses for every member of your party.
